The forecast analyzes the influence of the Web on retail sales to understand the total web impact (online sales plus web influence on offline sales) on retail sales and the need for omnichannel retailing. Web-influenced retail sales in India are expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 35.5% from 2014 to 2019. With the increasing penetration of smartphones and online buyers purchasing more via mobile phones, the Web’s influence is much larger than just online retail sales.
