Summary

It's hard to believe, but some enterprises still use custom-coded Web content management (WCM) solutions. However, consumer demands have forced firms to shift from just managing and publishing Web sites to the daunting complexities of multichannel customer engagement, and it has become untenable to build and maintain the required tools.
