Summary

Consumer and employee demands for innovative mobile experiences will continue to accelerate in 2015. Mobile platforms, development tools, and programming techniques, focal points for every firm's business technology (BT) agenda, are evolving at a similar pace in an attempt to keep up with demand for best-in-class apps that create customers' mobile moments. But 2015 won't be a year when developers simply refine current tactics for mobile app development. The focus for mobile developers will shift significantly in the year ahead — away from apps, and toward more contextually relevant micro-moments, delivered across families of devices, that are personalized to anticipate unique customer needs. To stay on the front edge of innovation, we predict that mobile development AD&D professionals will need to quickly react to eight key changes coming in 2015.
