Summary

As we transition from 2013, the drumbeat of new servers and new CPU offerings from Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Intel, IBM, HP, Dell, Cisco, and a variety of ARM licensees including Texas Instruments (TI), AMD, and Calexa continues. Forrester expects to see 64-bit ARM CPUs, further hyperdensity offerings from tier one vendors following on the heels of HP's Moonshot server, and disruptive changes to flash memory technology in servers.
