Summary

This report provides a framework for selecting and acquiring HRM software and related services. The widespread adoption of software-as-a-service (SaaS) within the HRM software space means that a more agile and accelerated software selection approach should be used. Rather than burning time and resources on lengthy requests for proposal (RFPs) and exhaustive function checklists, we advocate an approach that aligns with the rapid time-to-value and configurability characteristics of SaaS HRM software in either "pure SaaS" or hybrid scenarios of on-premises capabilities complemented by SaaS solutions. Application development and delivery (AD&D) professionals and their HRM business partners should adopt a selection approach that rapidly screens candidate vendors based on market characteristics and then determines the suitability of solutions based on real-time demonstrations to prove flexibility and functional fit.
