While only 8% of consumers have used a mobile phone to purchase products, it is none the less becoming a growing trend. With MasterCard's introduction of their PayPass and Visa's payWave, consumers can now touch their credit cards on checkout scanners to enact purchases. These products will effectively get consumers used to the technology and allow them to ease into using their mobile phones to complete purchase transactions. Here, we look at who these mobile shoppers are, how often they use it, what they are purchasing most, where they are purchasing, and how much they spend.
