There is more pressure than ever on CIOs to capitalize on digital opportunities for their business. Traditional, well-established business models are increasingly being toppled by more nimble and agile businesses created through digital innovations. CIOs can either step up and take on this challenge of transforming their businesses or wait to be disrupted. Success will depend on CIOs' ability to develop and master three key competencies: 1) building agility into systems and processes; 2) establishing an offensive posture; and 3) driving customer obsession in their organizations.
