In August 2008, Forrester conducted an online survey of senior-level strategy and marketing professionals from global technology firms. We gathered information on a range of topics, such as individual interests, organizational priorities, and go-to-market approaches. The survey results were consistent with many of the trends we see at Forrester: an overall interest in innovation and competitive intelligence; high interest in tracking emerging technologies; and substantive changes in the way companies will organize their go-to-market strategy. The survey results provide strategists with insight into the priorities of their tech industry counterparts, and they can use these to set strategic plans.
