Sourcing and vendor management professionals are under increasing pressure to streamline RFP processes while adding tangible value to the services sourcing process. Most firms we spoke with believe that, despite its flaws, the RFP process remains a useful mechanism for guiding the services sourcing process — a sentiment confirmed by our research surveys. We spoke with 28 sourcing professionals to gather insights into some best practices that firms can use to shorten and improve the sourcing process, making it more interactive and increasing the business value derived.
