Summary

Forrester recommends developing at least three levels of scorecards for measuring the overall value and performance of an IT vendor relationship: operational SLAs; business-level SLAs; and a less quantifiable but equally as important strategic value scorecard. This tool is designed to help companies develop the latter -- a starting point to actively measure and report on the strategic value that an IT vendor brings to your organization. The tool is not designed to measure operational and business-level SLAs. Included are example questions and ranking scales across cost, quality, delivery, relationship, and innovation as well as a graphical output of the results.
