To build a strong business case for running consolidated Linux workloads on an IBM System z9 architecture, a customer must first understand the core value proposition of the Linux operating system environment. Secondly, the customer must re-examine the historical and new feature/functionality offered by IBM's System z architecture. Thirdly, but most importantly, it is the intersection of Linux on System z, derived from the collective integration of both, that makes the System z a shortlist contender for the consolidated capture of a highly distributed Unix and/or Linux applications environment.
