Summary

Product management leaders often feel that their product managers are not adept at discovering and understanding customer needs, but they may not fully grasp the reasons for this shortcoming or understand the extent of the organization’s current issues and challenges. In this report, we introduce a self-assessment that product management leaders can use to increase awareness of the current state of customer needs understanding across six key areas and determine the causes of any deficits so that they can be remedied.
