A marketing enablement plan prioritizes identified skill gaps and maps a path from the current state of marketing to where the function aspires to be. The development of a well-thought-out plan that aligns to business priorities and sets forth clear goals and strategies delivers several benefits to the marketing enablement team. The enablement plan also provides the structure and preliminary data required to build a business case for the funding of marketing enablement programs . In this report, we define the six components of a marketing enablement plan and explain how to create a roadmap for successful program execution and effective learning curriculum development.
