Summary

Forrester's concept of "Design For People" emphasizes the close alignment of the technology that businesspeople use with the collection of business processes they participate in and the individual's work assignments, work style, and preferences. In fact, Design For People principles place the businessperson's work activities right at the center of the Information Workplace. The businessperson's work is the organizing structure into which we plug transactions, business processes, content, unified communications, social networking, and other tools. The Design For People continuum ranges from conservative to aggressive for each of the seven tenets of the Information Workplace, and you can apply Design For People concepts at any point in the continuum based on your organization's culture and technology environment.
