In 2023, total retail sales of the Europe-5 economies — France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the UK — will reach €2.3 trillion. Additionally, consumers in Europe-5 countries will spend €372 billion in 2023 purchasing products online. These online purchases represent nearly 16% of total retail sales for these five markets. In 2028, we expect Europe-5 online retail sales to reach €579 billion. This report provides a five-year forecast for total retail sales, online retail sales, and online retail penetration of 22 product categories for each of the Europe-5 economies.
