All new digital leaders will likely face urgent and competing digital priorities. Especially at the start of a new role, however, they must take a step back and assess the state of digital in their organization and the internal and external ecosystem and use this information to chart a successful path forward. This is essential for building alignment and developing a strategic 12-month plan that aligns with corporate goals and provides sufficient resources to execute it. In this report, we outline key activities that a new digital leader should complete in their first 90 days in the role and reference relevant Forrester research to ease the transition and accelerate success.
