Successfully onboarding a technical architect is a critical component of initiatives such as IT modernization, improved customer experiences, and the adoption of transformational technologies. While still primarily a technical role, the technical architect has evolved to require increased business acumen and situational awareness, tight business alignment, and the ability to develop trust by delivering value immediately and consistently. In this report, we outline three major areas and the key activities within each that a new technical architect should complete during their first 90 days.
