The expansion of automation in the HCM suite and the role of the practitioner have long been symbiotic, but the relationship is shifting. Spurred forward by employee self-service (ESS) and increasingly intelligent tools, organizations will face questions about how to best prepare for a changing HR administration landscape. Building a business case to successfully adopt these automated functions will require staying ahead of the potential impacts to employee engagement and the legacy structures.
