Summary

With high adoption of mobile phones in Latin America, it is critical for market insights professionals to understand how consumers are using these devices in their daily lives. Although the majority of metropolitan Latin American consumers own a mobile, smartphone adoption is still in its early stages in both Brazil and Mexico. Surprisingly, Mexico shows a higher uptake of more advanced mobile phones, features, and activities than Brazil. Also, Mexican phone users are very entertainment-driven and use their phones for calls, texting, games, and music alike.
