One year into the global pandemic, the UK is leading Europe in terms of vaccination rollouts and is beginning a “cautious but irreversible” journey out of lockdown. As shops, entertainment venues, and offices began to grapple with reopening across the UK, we fielded a fourth wave of our PandemicEX survey to take the pulse of European and UK workers. Compared with their continental European peers, UK workers are less burned out and cautiously optimistic — but they see an irrevocably changed future. This report outlines how UK employees feel about remote working, vaccinations, and the potential return to “normal” work one year into the pandemic.
