Summary

Hybrid cloud security maintains data integrity while moving critical data from on-premises to cloud workloads developing team competence with cloud and reducing threat surface to better protect data. Firms must approach cloud security systematically — from the cloud console, to network, data, and containers — as regulatory requirements and the desire for cost savings drive security. Using a 20-respondent panel survey we identified cloud security best practices for securing access to the console, cloud configuration, connectivity/networking, cloud data encryption, and containers. This report provides security pros with cloud security insights and offers recommendations to secure hybrid clouds.
