Summary

The devastation of Japan's largest earthquake and tsunami has forced Japanese firms to focus on and invest in business continuity and disaster recovery (BC/DR). Prior to the earthquake, many companies were ill-equipped to handle IT disruptions due to natural disasters. CIOs now cite BC/DR as a top priority, and Forrester believes that the market will reach US$3.7 billion by 2015. This increase will be driven by demand for consulting services and a greater interest in as-a-service offerings.
