A lack of role clarity and functional capability gaps can reduce organizational performance and efficiency, cause key strategic activities to be missed, and impede alignment on investments. MediaMath used two Forrester tools — the Product Marketing And Management (PMM) Model and the Product Management Competency Map — to address these issues. In this case study, we show how MediaMath used the Forrester PMM Model and Product Management Competency Map to clarify functional responsibilities, improve product managers’ skills, and unify the organization around go-to-market goals.
