In a 2023 Forrester survey, global data and analytics employees whose organization’s data literacy is not “expert” cited insufficient training resources, data literacy is not a priority for employees, lack of time for employees improve their data literacy skills, lack of incentives, and difficulties traversing organizational and data silos. To move the needle on enterprise data literacy, leaders should re-allocate time gained from AI automation to education and improving communication between human workers.
