Britain is facing the worst economic downturn in 60 years, and the outlook is bleak for many consumers and retailers in the crucial run-up to Christmas. Most UK Net users are worried about the state of the economy, rising costs of living, and their own personal finances. Even so, most plan to spend the same amount as last year for Christmas and in the next 12 months online and offline. Convenience, choice, and low prices will continue to attract new shoppers to the Web.
