Product-Specific Attributes Outweigh Other Considerations For Consumers

The most important attributes that consumers look for in a company or brand are: 1) strong product quality and 2) good value for money. Across all age groups, these two attributes outweigh others, even with some nuance from generation to generation. Younger online adults (Gen Z and Millennials) are more likely than older consumers to be concerned with whether a company makes a positive impact on the community or if the company carries environmentally friendly products. However, most Gen Z adults (along with all generations) still view product quality and value as important, outpacing other considerations. This snapshot shows which company or brand attributes US online adults value most.
