Summary

In complex B2B organizations, even those that use a single language, executives attempting to drive cross-functional processes or change — e.g., the processes comprised by the Content Model — often find that missing or disparate definitions for certain terms create semantic barriers for other functional audiences. To prevent misunderstanding, all functions must be clear about the terminology they use and each term’s precise meaning. In this report, we provide definitions for the phases and stages in the Content Model, which organizations can use during their implementation of the model.
