Mobile device testing is more complicated than desktop software testing, and given the high visibility of app store feedback, it’s a part of your omnichannel testing strategy that you can’t ignore. Mobile testers need to not only validate everything that desktop developers do but also address the variety of mobile devices, different versions of OSes, presence or absence of sensors and permissions, networks that regularly disappear and reappear, and interactions with nonupgraded apps and multiple upgrade paths.
