With access to troves of personal data, firms have idealistic goals of improving healthcare outcomes, fighting fraud, and delivering unique and personalized services. However, a trust gap between individuals and firms, and between firms and their value-added partners, has led to a hesitation to share data; individuals hold back to safeguard privacy, and firms hold back to shield themselves from the fines and reputational damage that result from scandal. This report outlines a framework and the emerging tech that will narrow the trust gap.
