Summary

Half of US online adults used store pickup for some portion of their online orders over the past three months, per Forrester’s Retail Topic Insights 1 Survey, 2024. One-third used “buy online, pick up in-store” (BOPIS). Just over one in five US online adults used curbside pickup — an option that is still limited to retailers that offer this service. Fewer used a drive-through pickup window (8%) or pickup from a nearby locker either inside the store or at a different location (5%). This data snapshot illustrates US consumers’ usage of in-store, curbside, drive-through, and locker pickup.
