Summary

The amount of time that US adults spend listening to radio has been on the decline. The trend is especially marked among young adults, who have taken to other audio platforms at a much greater rate. But radio as a format continues to be popular even as radio as a platform wanes. Radio stations have responded by making content available online and on mobile devices, but they have yet to reap the rewards of their efforts. Stations need to become more than just "radio online" while improving their core experience.
