Senior Vice President, Security Policy, Governance and Assessments Director, PNC Bank

Soo Yi is Senior Vice President, Security Policy, Governance and Assessments Director for PNC Bank.

In this role, she leads PNC’s security policy, governance and assessment service in support of the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to strengthen the cybersecurity posture of PNC and its partners. Soo’s passion is Security by Design, and she is an advocate for the secure adoption of innovation and emerging technology.

Previously, she held leadership roles at Verizon Communications, Aetna, Highmark Health and Allegheny Health Network. Soo is an expert in building cyber-defense services, leading investigations, securing technology platforms, and designing security solutions.

Soo earned a Master of Science in Engineering from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Cornell University.

A 25-year veteran of the technology industry, she holds a Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) certificate from Cloud Security Alliance, a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP®) certificate from ISC2 and a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM®) certificate from ISACA®. Additionally, as part of her focus on the community, Soo is a graduate of the Leadership Pittsburgh program and an alumna of the Young American Leaders Program (YALP) at Harvard Business School (HBS).
