Summary

Service-oriented architecture (SOA) continues to show growth in Asia Pacific as many businesses fulfill their previous plans to move toward an SOA as they aim to enhance their IT agility, integrate internally and with partners, extend the life of legacy applications, and drive down costs within their IT infrastructure. IT providers are benefiting and will continue to benefit from this activity. However, the SOA-based activity varies significantly on a country-by-country basis. Australia and New Zealand continue to lead the drive toward SOA-based solutions, but China has experienced significant growth over the past 12 months. Marketing professionals at firms selling SOA technologies or services should look for opportunities to leverage campaigns across both industries and countries to get the greatest return on investment (ROI) on marketing spend.
