This update to the smartphone and tablet online retail forecast for France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the UK provides smartphone and tablet online sales by country and by four broad retail categories. In 2019, half of online retail sales took place via smartphone or tablet; this number will increase to 58% by 2024. For each country, we forecast the impact of COVID-19 on online retail sales and the share of smartphone and tablet online sales growth, with historical data going back to 2010.
