Summary

Russia is one of the fastest-growing economies in the world today. In recent decades, Russia made tremendous progress in terms of democracy and the economy, but it still has a long way to go when it comes to technology uptake. Just more than half of urban Russians are online today, with the price of home computers being the main barrier to entry. However, there are reasons to be optimistic about the future: Russians' mobile and mobile Internet uptake is one of the highest in Europe. It also outlines adoption trends of key technologies such as computers, the Internet, broadband, and mobile as well as key attitudes and what these mean for companies trying to engage the Russian consumer.
