Summary

Full disk encryption (FDE) is necessary in today's IT organization, and security professionals know this. However, problems arise when IT tries to convey this necessity to the business. Even with highly publicized data leaks, many decision-makers still take the misguided approach of "let's wait and see." However, some organizations have been successful in building a case for proactive implementation. Forrester spoke with a leading hospitality and gambling organization to learn how it drove the case for FDE deployment. Its solution was to elevate FDE to a business imperative and communicate its value to decision-makers and end users alike.
