Consumers delete fewer email messages, integrate email promotions with personal emails, and forward promotional emails more today than in past years. But email marketers shouldn't be too smug about their efforts to create relevant email programs. To stay in front of consumer expectations, we recommend targeting promotion influencers — a particularly valuable segment of your email list — crafting a cross-device messaging strategy, and integrating email with social media and search.
