Summary

Today's financial services firms often find their application landscape can no longer cope with their most urgent business drivers. Forrester's Q3 2012 Global Financial Services Architecture Online Survey, which drew responses from 171 participants from 34 countries and multiple segments of the financial services industry, shows that a large group of firms are using service-oriented architecture (SOA) in production environments today. This report identifies how financial services firms use SOA today, probes their future plans for SOA, and examines how they define the technology stacks beneath their business applications. It also describes how financial services firms can best prepare for the target-state architectures they will need to succeed in the future.
