Summary

Among the many services Forrester offers its clients is the ability to ask Forrester analysts any question at any time. The resulting inquiries are a fascinating look into the minds of Forrester's client base and hold important insights for technology marketers. When it comes to Web 2.0 tools and technologies, the inquiry volume for 2007 more than doubled, as many Forrester clients began to investigate Web 2.0 or refine their investment in the space. The rising tide did not, however, lift all ships, as some topics have waned over the course of the year while others have surged ahead. All told, Forrester's inquiries should be a good indicator of 2008 purchases and the overall direction of the Web 2.0 market.
