Summary

Every day Forrester sees growing interest in the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) in the form of client inquiries with our analysts. Between July 2007 and July 2008 Forrester's IT infrastructure and operations team fielded more than 2,700 inquiries from clients — 105 focused on ITIL, up nearly 30% from the number of inquiries fielded on the topic the previous year. This increase coincides with the publication of the final ITIL v3 books in June of 2007 and a growing interest in ITIL in the United States. To help the mounting number of IT infrastructure and operations professionals investigating ITIL, Forrester provides insight into the four most common areas of interest we have seen from clients on the topic.
