Recently Forrester spoke with more than 20 pan-European firms about their growing offshore activity. In addition, we interviewed a combination of Indian, pan-European, and American service providers to understand whether they can offer a blend of Europe-specific capabilities and offshore scale. The topic is clearly on the table — especially in Germany, France, the Netherlands, and the Nordic region — but large deals and decisions have yet to become mainstream. Most pan-European clients are not fully convinced of the offshore model's suitability or benefits for their business, while offshore providers still do not have enough capability on the Continent. Yet, Forrester is finding that clients are rapidly becoming more interested in offshore as providers work furiously to improve their European capabilities.
