The Cyberwarfare Era
Private Sector IT In The Crosshairs
July 22, 2008
Why Read This Report
Cyberwarfare is already here, and private sector information systems are a key battlefield. The US government is in the process of structuring its strategic war fighting capabilities for a cyberwar era on a scale similar to that of the Cold War era. This includes significant changes in how the civil government views and manages its defensive posture. Private sector information environments have not yet been formally recruited for parallel cyber civil defense programs, but CISOs should be more alert to the implications of cyberwarfare and begin their own self-defensive measures.
