Why Read This Report

In Forrester's 51-criteria evaluation of standalone service-oriented architecture (SOA) management solution vendors, we found that Progress Software leads the pack with its broad and deep functionality across the board. IBM and SOA Software are strong in core SOA management and trust enablement; SOA Software is also strong in policy management. Managed Methods is good in core management and trust enablement and is the clear low-cost provider. WSO2 and Tibco Software scored lower on core SOA management than the others. WSO2's core management weaknesses are offset by strengths in product architecture, and because its solution is open source, it will be particularly interesting to some buyers. Tibco rounds out the evaluation as a Contender of particular interest to Tibco customers.
