Summary

Forrester surveys enterprise architecture (EA) leaders annually to understand the state of their practices. In our most recent 2016 survey, we saw enterprise themes like customer centricity beginning to affect EA and show up as key drivers. But EA professionals still struggle to engage in planning processes and leverage weak governance processes to make architecture a reality. A good sign is that EA leaders recognize the need to engage the broader organization — but overcoming the legacy of past practices will be challenging.
