As travel companies search for ways to grow their online bookings and their margins, many are considering alternative payment options like Bill Me Later and PayPal. Although habit and loyalty program rewards will keep regular and affinity credit cards top-of-wallet for the majority of US travel purchases, Forrester's Consumer Technology Adoption Study data suggests that there is unmet customer demand for alternative payment options on travel Web sites.
