Summary

Forrester's recent survey of executives responsible for IT spending decisions shows that government will continue to face a number of basic IT management challenges as it tries to evolve its legacy environment. The top technology themes for 2007 look very similar to the 2006 themes: Significant upgrades to disaster recovery capabilities, security, and infrastructure consolidation remain at the top of the list. Government IT executives have slightly increased spending, up from 2006, for new IT initiatives and projects.
