An increasing number of application development teams are using serious games to make better decisions about their work. Where other new techniques, such as Agile, have helped teams work better, serious games offer a way to "work smarter," too. While well established in other settings in both the private and public sectors, serious games are still new in application development. Teams must understand the full range of serious game options before selecting the one that meets their needs.
