Blockchain technology is finally taking its proper place in the enterprise software portfolio: as one of a set of enabling technologies and components that together deliver end-to-end solutions. While the technology is still nascent, it has come a long way in terms of meeting enterprise-grade requirements, and today we see operational solutions that wouldn’t work without blockchain. The technology will continue to mature, and it will support a wide spectrum of use cases ranging from data integrity assurance to the automation of complex multiparty processes. However, blockchain will only achieve its full potential when organizations learn how to collaborate differently across corporate boundaries.
