Cisco Systems has invested heavily in changing how IT and business decision-makers view infrastructure hardware. Cisco successfully positions its gear as an enabler of business objectives, effectively debunking the myth that hardware is for IT. Both its corporate and product positioning reflects this point of view, placing Cisco as the most business technology (BT)-oriented marketer of the vendors we reviewed. Despite Cisco's strong overall performance, there are still several areas where it can improve.
