What tops the list of most important elements of a loyalty program for US consumers? They say instant discounts (71%); points, miles, or other loyalty currency (69%); and exclusive deals or discounts on products and services from partner companies (58%). However, nonmonetary benefits are important, too: Consumer interest in enhanced customer service (58%), the ability to earn points across different brands (55%), and early access to new products (48%) indicates that programs should offer a balance of both financial and experiential rewards. This snapshot shows how important different elements of a loyalty program are to US consumers.
